„During academic year 2015/2016 the Visegrad dimension has been discussed during several lectures, seminar and educational events. Lectures where delivered by our project partners from Poland and Czech Republic on regular basic, but as a part of educational and dissemination events the Visegrad dimension has been added to the Day of the University Students, lectures for Kazakh students, for Chinese students and also during Visegrad Summer School organized by the Visegrad University Association.“


„On July, 20, 2015 prof. Elena Horska delivered the lecture for students from Tianjin University, China as a part of the bilateral Slovak-Chinese summer school. Main aim of the lecture was to deliver information and knowledge about practical aspects of doing marketing in Visegrad countries. The main question was what does Visegrad region mean from historical, socio-economic and business point of view. The book International Marketing: Within and Beyond Visegrad Borders has been introduced to the students together with some food samples presenting local marketing actions and behaviour of consumers in Visegard.
Idea of Visegrad studies has been presenting also during business trip in the USA and visit of the Lousiana State University at the last week on July, 2015. Presentation in a group of AgCenter was aimed at Visegrad studies and cooperation, including thematic excursions as a part of VUSG project and book was given to U.S teachers as a material to teach practical examples about Visegrad marketing.“


„On November 26 -27, 2014 the thematic excursion to Hungary was organized for a group of students studying International marketing both in English and Slovak. As a part of excursion (organized in cooperation with Dr. Zoltan Szabo and representatives of VUA in NItra and Szent Istvan University of Godollo) students attended scientific seminar of the Visegrad University Association, lectures on distribution policy and visited winecellar in Ostrihom while discussing international issues of wine marketing and tourism industry.“


„In October 2014 the international book "International Marketing: Within and Beyond Visegrad Border" was launched. Book provides students with theoretical knowledge, case studies and practical examples. During semester lecturers from Poland and Czech Republic visited Slovakia to deliver lectures related to different Visegrad markets. Moreover, 2 guest speakers from Africa (Mr. Daviv Ogiga from Kenya and Mr. Emmanuel Bangmarigu from Ghana) arrived to deliver lectures about specific marketing features of agrarian marketing in Africa.“


„At the end of October 2013 the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra was invited to participate at Regional Expo 2013 Global - South - South - Development, organized by UN for the first time in its history in Nairobi, Kenya. During the exhibition we presented our project "International Marketing - A Visegrad Perspective, had a chance to discuss some issues of mutual cooperation with Embassador in Kenya, Mr. Michal Mlynar and also representatives of Jomokenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. In Slovak stands we met with representatives of several Slovak businesses, operating successfully in Afrika. Their example is a perfect lesson learnt for our students how to adjust marketing program to local needs and wants.“


During October 16 - 18, 2013 there was organized thematic excursion to the Czech Republic in Znojmo in cooperation with Ing. Martin Pribyl, our project team member, where students had chance to visit several prosperous SME operating in the sphere of wine production, tourist industry and listen to interesting talks about their marketing activities and international business. Besides local small and medium enterprises they visited also Business Park, a good example of FDI and outsourcing activities.


As a part of seminar work, students have had chances to taste and compare external and internal features of products made in Visegrad countries and discuss the features of attractiveness from business and local customer point of view. To make the athmosphere in the class more attractive, we invited also exchange students from Kazakhstan. Same interactions were organized for MBA students "Agribusiness and Commerce.


„During the winter semester 2013/2014 we welcomed several visiting lectures from Visegrad countries (Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary). Associate professor Maitah Mansoor from the Czech University of Life Sciences from Prague delivered lecture on international political environment and specific aspects of doing business in Czech Republic. Associate professor Krzystof Wach from Economic University in Krakow delivered lecture and seminar on internationalization in Central European and Visegrad context and finally, Dr. Zoltán Szabo from the Szent Istvan University in Godollo and Ing. Martin Pribyl delivered lecture on marketing communication and presented specific case studies from Hungary and Czech Republic. Besides Visegrad speakers we were very pleased to welcome prof. John Stanton from the St. Joseph´s university from Philadelphia, USA. His topic was internationalisation and diversity of marketing environment and students found this topic as very interesting.“


„As a part of the project VUSG there was organized the thematic fieldtrip to Poland (October 17 - 20, 2012). Students attended lectures on the topics of Europeanization and SMEs and Doing business in Poland as well delivered by Dr. Krzysztof Wach from the Economic University in Cracow. Next day we visited Maspex company and its production plant Ecoland. Management team of the company prepared for us a tour in production and storage facilities and presented the marketing strategy of the company towards successful internationalization, mainly in Visegrad regions, but also in other countries within and outside of the EU (Ukraine, Russia). During their free time students enjoyed Cracow sightseeing as Cracow is a beautiful former royal city.“


„In October 2012 prof. Elena Horska visited Kazakhstan and its Kazakh National Agrarian University in Almaty where she delivered lectures on the topics of international marketing and internationalisation with several successful stories from Visegrad countries. Kazakh students had the opportunity during the seminar to discuss the issues of successful marketing strategies, product positioning and market situation at the Visegrad countries and its neighbours. During her stay she visited also the Slovak Embassy in Astana and the Agrotechnical university im. Sejfullina in Astana.“


„During the winter semester 2012/2013 we welcomed several visiting lectures from Visegrad countries (Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary). They delivered the lectures on special topics related to doing business in their countries and presented succesful stories. During their visits they delivered lectures and seminars, practical case studies and discussions including (on the photos you can see Ing. Martin Pribyl, PhD., his topics was marketing communication, examples from Czech Republic and case of the successful brand Kofola).“
