Multiplier event in Nitra, Slovakia, August 16 - 18, 2017
„Last multiplier event of project FOODCOST was organized by the Slovak University of Agriculture and its Faculty of Economics and Management in August, 16 - 18, 2017 in Nitra. During the event the project results and outcomes were introduced to academic and research practice, and also to businesses and media. During the event we launched officially project book and one of them, "Neuromarketing in Food Retailing" was awarded by National prize "Zlatý Kosák 2017." It is very prestigious award, awarded by the Ministry of Agriculture and Regional Development of the Slovak Republic.
Multiplier event was attended by national and international participants, coming from other university from Slovakia and abroad, secondary school teachers, businesses (production, processing, retailing, e-shops, media). The main theme for discussion was how to apply the project result in day to day business, academic sphere, further research. There were some new project and collaborative ideas generated from the meetings with project team members and faculty representatives.“
Final project meeting in Spain, June 2017
„The main topic of final project meeting FOODCOST was to discuss the administrative and financial issues related to final project report. Secondly, and even more important, was to evaluate project results and propose activities how the project results will be used in the future, how they will be disseminated and implemented to education and research. All participants declared their satisfaction with the project implementation, high quality of project results and intention to continue cooperation within the topics of the project FOODCOST and others, related to food, quality, market and consumer studies.“
Summer school in Orihuela, Spain, June, 2017
„In the campus of University of Miguel Hernandez, in Orihuela, the project international summer school was organized in two modules: Food-senzory-consumers and Neuromarketing and Augmented reality. Summer school lasts 8 days and at its end students presented their group works based on study visit in traditional local winery. Their proposals show how to connect traditions with innovations.“
Multiplier event FOODCOST in Spain, June 2017
„During 27 - 28 June 2017 the multiplier event of the project FOODCOST was organized to introduce and disseminate project results to wider academic and business sphere. The event was organized and supported not only by the UMH team, but also university management and representatives of business sphere of Orihuela and Alicante. As the main part of the event, all 4 international books were introduced, and mainly, the connections and possible applications for further academic or commercial event were identified.“

Project meeting in Aarhus, November 23 - 25, 2016
„According to the project FOODCOST, the third project meeting was organized in Denmark, by partner Aarhus university. At the beginning of the project meeting, local coordinator, prof. Klaus Grunert, introduced shortly the university, Department of Management and MAPP Centre for Research on Customer Relations in the Food Sector. Main presentation was done by prof. Elena Horská, project coordinator. Firstly, she summarized the events and activities done during project year 2016 (books preparation, multiplier event) and secondly she devoted attention to the final project year 2017 and activities planned for 2017. Project consortium will prepare online modules, audio-video materials for interactive and modern learning and in June the summer school, multiplier event and project meeting will be organized in Spain. Consequently, most of the time was devoted to discussing the concept of the summer school, administrative and organizational issues. Detail proposal of the events organized in Spain, MHU Alicante, Orihuela was presented by prof. Angel Antonio Carbonell Barrachina.“
International workshop "Food Sciences & Consumer Studies 2016"
„International workshop "Food Sciences & Consumer Studies 2016"
was organized as a part of the International Scientific Days 2016, during May, 19 - 20, 2016. Participants of the workshop had a chance to listen to the presentations of representatives of the EC from Brussel, FAO and partner universities from Europe, USA and Asia. Session 10 and 11 provided chance for participants to share their research outcomes, transfer experiences and knowledge from area of marketing, neuromarketing, sensory marketing, aroma marketing and augmented reality as well. Finally, during the social dinner the pilot project of augmented reality was tested among workshop participants based on example of traditional food of bryndzove halusky. Parallely, the presentation of FOODCOST project ideas and activities were shared during 16th Festival of Science in Krakov, Poland.“
Project meeting in Vienna, December 14 - 17, 2016:
„The main aim of the project meeting in Vienna was to monitor and evaluate the actual steps in project implementation, mainly create the space for discussion about 4 books that are in stage of preparation. Also another question was to prepare material for interim report and talk about day-to-day administration and dissemination of project activities as well as their implementation in teaching process.“
Training in Noldus – April 13 - 17, 2015:
„The first education event of FOODCOST project was organized by Noldus in Netherland. Its main aim was to train project participants in the area of using new research techniques as face reader, eye tracker and EEG are. Majority of them belong to the neuromarketing research area, and discovering hidden consumer reactions. In Noldus, also their unique Restaurant of the Future was presented. As a part of training the structure of books was discussed with project participants.“
Kick-off meeting in Nitra - December 16, 2014:
„The first project meeting was organized by coordinating institution, Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, on December 16, 2014. All project partners participated actively to discuss all the aspects of project implementation, including administrative and financial issues. We appreciated the participation of expert from National Agency Erasmus+ Mgr. Renata Mezeiová. At the end of the day the traditional Slovak dishes were served as a part of informal meeting of all the project partners.“
