Alternative hardware and software solutions for enterprises

Anotácia:
Nedostatok finančných prostriedkov na IKT je limitujúcim faktorom širokej dostupnosti a možností spracovávania informácii v podnikovej praxi. Preto je treba hľadať alternatívne riešenia. Z hardvérových alternatív sú jedným z najlacnejších riešení technológia tenkých klientov a bezdrôtové počítačové siete. Alternatívnym riešením v oblasti softvéru je používanie freewarových programov a programov typu open source, kde sú náklady na zriadenie minimálne alebo nulové. Cieľom príspevku je bližšie popísať tieto technologické riešenia.

Abstract:
Deprivation of financial resources on information and communication technologies is limited factor of availability and means of information processing in business practice. Therefore we must find alternative solutions. One of the cheapest solutions from hardware area is thin client technology and wireless net. Alternative solution in software area is using of freeware and open source programmes, where the costs are minimum or any. The goal of this work is description of these technological solutions.
