Anotácia:
Stárnutí obyvatelstva vyspělých zemí a jeho ekonomické a společenské důsledky jsou jedním z nejvýznamnějších problémů tohoto století. Příspěvek ukazuje možnost praktického využití demografických projekcí při odhadování budoucí zátěže ekonomiky v důsledku stárnutí obyvatelstva. Článek charakterizuje průběh stárnutí obyvatelstva České republiky a zabývá se možnými důsledky a způsoby jejich řešení. Stárnutí populace České republiky bude pokračovat, podíl osob v důchodovém věku připadající na jednu osobu v produktivním věku dále poroste. Zachrání nás imigranti? Článek vznikl v rámci dlouhodobého výzkumného projektu 2D06026 „Reprodukce lidského kapitálu" financovaného MŠMT v rámci Národního programu výzkumu II.

Abstract:
Ageing of the population of advanced countries and its economic and social consequences are one of the most important problems of this century. The paper shows a practical application of demographic projections for estimating of future economic burden. The paper describes the course of the ageing of the population of the Czech Republic. It deals further with its possible consequences and some ways of resolving these problems. The ageing of the population of the Czech Republic will continue, the ratio of the number of persons of retirement age to the number of persons of productive age will increase. Salvage us immigrants? This article came into being within the framework of the long-term research project 2D06026, "Reproduction of Human Capital", financed by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport within the framework of National Research Program II.
