Price Transmission in Pork Meat Agri-food Chain

Anotácia:
Tento příspěvek se zabývá analýzou cenové transmise ve vertikále vepřového masa v České republice v období 2002 - 2007. Na základě analýzy průměrných cen zemědělských výrobců a průměrných cen průmyslových výrobců pomocí VECM, jsou definovány a popsány jejich vzájemné vazby a tržní struktura zvolené výrobkové vertikály. Dlouhodobý vztah zkoumaných proměnných je dále analyzován prostřednictvím impulse-response analýzy. Poznatky prezentované v článku jsou výsledkem řešení výzkumného záměru MŠM 6046070906 „Ekonomika zdrojů českého zemědělství a jejich efektivní využívání v rámci multifunkčních zemědělskopotravinářských systému".

Abstract:
This paper deals with the analysis of price transmission in the pork meat agri-food chain in the Czech Republic in the period from 2002 till 2007. Average farmer price and average processing price of the pork meat are analysed with the help of VECM model to detect and describe their relationship and the market structure of the selected market. A long-run relationship in the agri-food chain is analysed, as well, with the help of impulse-response analysis. Knowledge presented in this paper is the result of grant solution MSM 6046070906 "Economics of Czech agriculture resources and their efficient usage within the framework of multifunctional agri-food systems".
