DETERMINANTS OF INVESTMENT ACTIVITY IN SELECTED GROUP OF AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES

Anotácia:
Cieľom tohto príspevku je určiť determinanty ovplyvňujúce vývoj a štruktúru investícií vo vybranom súbore poľnohospodárskych podnikov v regióne západného Slovenska. Investičná aktivita je principiálne závislá na disponibilite vlastných alebo cudzích zdrojov jej financovania. Investície podporujú rast ziskovosti výroby ako aj dosahovanie kladného čistého peňažného toku z dlhodobého hľadiska. Rast investícií však spôsobuje pokles čistého peňažného toku v období realizovania investície. Finančná situácia podniku je najdôležitejší faktor ovplyvňujúcu výšku investícií. Samofinancovanie predstavuje dominantný zdroj financovania investičných aktivít poľnohospodárskych podnikov. Slovensko je typická banková ekonomika, a preto väčšinu cudzích zdrojov získavajú poľnohospodárske podniky práve vo forme úverov.

Abstract:
The aim of this paper is to assess determinants which impact the development and structure of investments in the selected group of agricultural enterprises in the west Slovakia region. Investment activity is essentially dependent on accessibility of own or foreign resources of financing. Investments encourage rising in production profitability as well as reaching positive net cash flow in the long run. An investment increase brings about the decrease of net cash flow in the period when the investment is realized. Company financial situation is the most important factor which impacts the level of agricultural enterprises investments. Self-financing represents the dominate source of financing of investment activities. Slovakia is typical bank economy, and so the most foreign resources are obtained by agricultural enterprises in the form of loans.
