Automatic classification of economic data

Anotácia:
Příspěvek popisuje návrh a architekturu automatického klasifikátoru založeného na genetickém algoritmu. Genetické algoritmy jsou stochastické optimalizační metody, je tedy nutné klasifikační úlohu vhodně transformovat. Konkrétně je použita metoda dvoufázové gramatické evoluce, což je genetický algoritmus rozšířený o generátor jazyka zadané gramatiky a druhý genetický algoritmus navržený speciálně pro optimalizaci parametrů z oboru reálných čísel. Dále jsou popsány požadavky na automatický klasifikátor, gramatika, která je použita pro řešení úlohy a dosažené výsledky.

Abstract:
This paper describes architecture of an automatic classifier based on genetic algorithms. Since genetic algorithms are stochastic optimization methods it is necessary to transform the classification problem. To solve the problem the grammatical evolution method was used. It is a genetic algorithm extended with a generator of language defined by context-free grammar and another genetic algorithm focused on optimizing real-valued parameters. The requirements and the grammar used for the classifier are described.
