Examination of quality control system in agricultural small-scale enterprises
in Western Transdanubian Region
Anotácia:
Abstract:
In order to satisfy the costumers' increasing demands for safe food, it is important to pay attention to the supply of animal husbandry with safe and quality feed stuff, which is the decisive element of the 'from the field to the consumer's table' principle. The best known international and other standards apply to the quality, health, safety, environmental protection, and social responsibility that is, the most important areas of the evaluation of an enterprise. An agricultural or food industrial enterprise can work more effectively with a uniform control system, and transparent processes. It would certainly be an advantage if its 'values' could be certified by several aspects.
In our opinion the most important keystone of the quality control in the production of agricultural small-scale enterprises is the suitable technological practice, the observance of the GAP instructions. The establishment of the HACCP system makes production processes transparent. The agricultural small-scale enterprises, which take quality control seriously, are often content with this, but the bigger companies and those doing service certify the ISO 9001 system as well, besides the existing HACCP. In the future the ISO 22000 standard will gain ground but in the case of agricultural small- scale enterprises the most important aspect will be the demands of the partners in the market when it comes to the establishment of a quality control system.
