Comparative analysis of the unemployment indicators in Czech Republic and selected EU countries
Anotácia:
Míra nezaměstnanosti představuje jeden z nejdůležitějších ukazatelů trhu práce. Daný příspěvek stručně popisuje a porovnává vývoj míry nezaměstnanosti v České republice a vybraných středoevropských zemích EU během desetiletého období 1998 - 2007. Zaměřuje se zejména na identifikaci adekvátních statistických modelů analyzovaných časových řad. Nalezené modely byly využity při tvorbě krátkodobých předpovědí míry nezaměstnanosti ve věkové kategorii 15 - 24 let.
Abstract:
Unemployment rate represents one of the main indicators of the labour market. The paper deals with description and comparison of the development tendencies of the unemployment rate in Czech Republic and selected EU countries over the ten-year period 1998 - 2007. It concentrates upon an identification of appropriate statistical models of time series under analysis. Furthermore, the identified models were used in short-term forecasting youth unemployment rate.
