Security and the protection of accounting information system in company

Anotácia:
V dnešnej rýchlo sa rozvíjajúcej spoločnosti sa nasadzovanie automatizovaných informačných systémov stalo nevyhnutnou podmienkou úspešnej podnikateľskej činnosti. Tlak konkurenčného prostredia si vynucuje pozornosť manažérov zameriavať sa na podstatné a kvalitné informácie k ich činnosti. Jedná sa predovšetkým o informácie z účtovníctva, ktoré využívajú pri plánovaní alebo prijímaní rozhodnutí vo všetkých podnikových procesoch. S prudkým rozvojom informačných systémov vzrastá aj možnosť ich zneužitia. Na základe toho je potrebné vysokú hodnotu účtovných informácií získaných z podnikového informačného systému zabezpečiť náležitou ochranou. Cieľom príspevku je poukázať na zvyšujúci sa význam bezpečnosti účtovného informačného systému ako podstatného zdroja podnikového systému.

Abstract:
The utilisation of automated information systems became one of the necessary conditions for the successful business activities in the expanding society. The pressure which is set by the competitive environment requires the attention of managers. They have to stress on the significant and qualitative information needed for their activity. The accounting information is of great importance in manager's work and is used for planning and accepting of decisions in all company processes. The possibility of information system misuse is rapidly growing with the development of such systems. Therefore the security of system is needed with connection of the high value of accounting information acquired from the company information system. The aim of the paper is to present the increasing significance of accounting information system security as the main source of company system.
