Anotácia:
Abstract:
The region of Central and Eastern Europe through the history developed from the group of the neighboring countries to the part of the European Union. It was possible from one side because of general history and similar particularity of peoples, territories, economics, politics and social environments, and from other side because of similar "steps" at the way of integration. The integration processes in Europe relatively to annexation of 12 new members reflected the significant importance role to the structural changes in relationships between European Union and Ukraine. The EU has enlarged to 27 member states, with Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania all directly bordering Ukraine. In this paper, we analyze the place of Ukraine in present-day's Europe. The analysis takes into account the following questions: "Who" is Ukraine in Europe - neighbor or resident? What is following for our country?
