Abstract:
In our paper we would like to focus on some principles that help to create multimedia presentations that support learning. We will examine three principles: multimedia, contiguity and modality principle supporting it by the cognitive theory. We present our observations that we made during seminars of English. We try to analyze how to use words and graphics the best way.Many teachers take the challenge that new multimedia offer and use it either in the form of e-learning or blended learning. Blended learning seems to be a better choice for ELT, when bearing the communicative function of language in our mind. Students at technical faculties enjoy working with multimedia, they like being active when explaining assigned topics via multimedia presentations they do every term.
